It is the foundation on which the entire educational structure is built. Knowledge serves as the fundamental pillar of education, forming the foundation on which the entire process of learning, understanding and critical thinking is built.
Meaning of epistemology -
Epistemology- Epistemology is an area of philosophy, which deals with human knowledge. It is a kind of field of philosophical investigation, which explores the origin, nature, validity, methods and limits of knowledge. Epistemology comes from the Greek word 'Episteme' meaning knowledge and 'Logos' meaning science or discussion.
Meaning of knowledge -
Knowledge means awareness and understanding of some aspect of reality which is based on true belief. It is clear and comprehensible information or fact which is obtained from reality by the application of logical process.
Importance of knowledge as epistemological basis of education :
